Wedding Day Look

I still feel like I am in my bride era even though I am a whole WIFE. But let’s talk bridal.

Picking a wedding dress is definitely one of the most stressful tasks of my wedding planning journey. I have heard from other brides that committing to one dress is hard for them too. It does not help that bridal shops recommend you get your dress at least 10 months in advance due to alterations. So much can happen during that time. With that being said, doing your research and not settling is key.

Some brides are lucky and are able to find their dress during their first-time dress shopping. I was not so lucky. For me, it was more of a “3rd time is the charm” type of deal. I tried over 30 dresses! I do have to say I knew what I was looking for and the designer I wanted from the research I did prior.

I envisioned myself with a clean, sophisticated dress, with a long train and sleeves. And the more dresses I tried on, the more convinced I was. Busy dresses with a lot going on were a turn-off for me. When I saw my Pronovias dress online I knew it was the one! I went to try it at “The White Gown” and the rest is history.

However, the search didn’t stop there. Accessories are equally as important and could make or break a wedding dress. Finding the perfect veil and hairpiece took me a while but thankfully I found Christie Lauren and her beautiful pieces.

For my second dress, I wanted something more comfortable, and completely different from my first dress. Yet still bridal and sophisticated. I found this dress online on Pinterest!
