CUSTOM VANITY UNDER $200
Hey Fashionistas!
Happy Friday! Honestly my favorite day of the week! I hope you are all staying warm as the first day of winter approaches.
Jumping right in, this blog post deviates from my regular fashion posts. However I got a very positive response in my last home decor post and something that has called a lot of attention has been my vanity.
I've seen lots of beautiful vanities such as Impressions Vanity, going for over $400 dollars just the mirror. Which is great for those who can afford to invest in them but I am no makeup guru, nor do I want to invest that much money on a vanity. So I want to share with you guys how I put together my vanity in under $200 including the mirror table.
Lets start off with my mirror. This mirror is a housewarming gift I received from my brother Jeffrey. It is so special to me because he made it himself! Yes, it's a DIY vanity mirror! I obviously would have not been able to do something like that on my own but just like him, with guidance, it's completely doable for under $130! It all depends on the size of the mirror. This mirror is 13x19.
I researched and found tons of DIY videos that explain step-by-step the process. I'll link a few below:
If you know someone who is handier than you don't hesitate to ask for help! It can be a very fun DIY project.
Moving on to my table. This is another hack I'm obsessed with lately.
I found my table in Facebook Marketplace for⦠(drumroll please) $60! Yup, you saw that right. Just the table alone retails for $200! See for yourself here: Mirror table.
For those who don't know, facebook has this feature called facebook marketplace where you can buy and sell used stuff. The table was still in its box when I bought it from the owner who was selling it because it was delivered with a small crack which I easily covered with a Dose of Colors stickers as you can see in pictures. Other than that, my table is completely new!
Lastly, my mirror makeup holders. Whats interesting about these holders is that they are not necessarily for makeup. I found them at TJMAXX in the office supply section for under $30! They are for stationary use and the coolest feature is that it spins around in a circle! Super convenient for makeup if you ask me.
So there you have it! I hope this post can bring some inspo to anyone looking into buying or customizing a vanity. It can be more affordable than what you expect.
Much Love,
Pamela.
